Not There Yet

Adelaide River 29/6/11

“In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:6)

We thought we would have a short ride of 30 kms today up to the Adelaide River, and prepare our horses for the final ride of 110 kms to Darwin.

But, we discovered this morning that both horses have swollen lumps on their backs. When we touched those parts on the back, they backed up to express their pain. It was probably because of yesterday’s rough rides up and down the steep hills in the heat. The horses can not speak and therefore we need to be discerning about their pain.

The memory of the loss of our faithful horse Billy is still vivid in our mind. We can not keep riding them, even if it’s only a couple of days’ journey to the end. It seems God is forcing us to trust Him until the last moment of the Ride, to teach us that we can’t do anything without His help.

We drove 30 kms to the show ground of Adelaide River, washed the horses and looked after their backs. Glenn looked deeply frustrated and disappointed. After a long conversation we decided to keep riding Picky tomorrow morning and to pray for healing for Moo Moo. So we prayed and we acknowledge our miracle healer, our Lord Jesus. We believed that He would open our paths straight. I expect something good tomorrow morning.

Wendy Farrelly - Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 AMP)
Wow! This is what I see you are doing as you obediently carry out what.the Lord of Heavens armies has called you to. Know that not only are there many in the Body of Christ who are behind you in prayer but Heaven itself. There is a shout of victory from Heaven about to be released over our nation as you have anointed it’s soil with prayer and persevered through trials, hardships & shared in joyful times. Bless you all. Love you.
[We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy, (Colossians 1:11 AMP)

Ronnie Towns - Hang in there Glen not far to go now, you can always walk yourself and lead the ones who have carried you so far. You have made Moo Moo a legend in the Brumby world, this I am sure of. You and your team have done an amazing thing and you are also legends to us.
